Most Asked Questions from Clients

1. I have an organizational need that is not listed in your "Services". Can you help me with that?
Probably. Call or e-mail to discuss your situation and if I can't help you, I'll help you find someone that can.
2. What if I live far away, will there be an extra charge for travel expenses?
Generally, I work in the South/Central or Western part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I drive to areas within that area for no charge. If you live more than 45 minutes away, I would charge a small fee ($5-$10) depending on the distance. Or, if you are more than an hour away, I could direct you to a professional organizer in your area.
3. What exactly does a professional organizer do?
We work with you to determine your needs, then depending on your circumstances, we work with you to meet those needs based on your time and budget.
4. Do I need to be there?
For the initial consultation, yes. Things generally move faster (and save you money) if you work with the organizer. In certain circumstances, the organizer can work alone.
5. How long will the job take?
This will be determined at the initial consultation. We can tailor it depending on whether you want to help a little, a lot, or none.
6. Will I be able to find things when you're done?
Yes, we work with you to determine how, when, where and why you use things. Everything will be customized to your needs so it will be easier for you.
7. Will I have to buy any supplies?
After the initial consultation, you will be given a recommendation for what you may need. You can choose not to purchase anything and we will work with what you have. If you decide to buy any organizing tools, you may purchase those yourself or, for an additional fee, I will do the shopping for you.
8. How much do you charge for a consultation?
Special Consultation Promotion:
FREE! 15-minute phone or e-mail consultation. Call or e-mail with your questions to see how I can meet your needs.
FREE! 30-minute in-home consultation ($25 value). I will come to your home and consult with you on what you want done. I'll describe the process, give approximate time and cost involved, and even give you some FREE tips. No obligation to accept service.
9. How much do you charge for services?
That will be determined at the initial consultation. I generally charge $50/hour for organizing. There are special promotions right now for existing clients.
10. What if my whole house needs organizing, but I can't afford to pay for it all?
You may have as much or as little organized as you want. You can choose to do a desk, a closet, a room, etc. Let me know how much you want to spend and I'll help you prioritize and choose the most important areas first. Then, next week, next month, or whenever you're ready, we will move on to the next area. I can also make up a plan for you to do a lot of the work yourself.
11. I would be embarassed if anyone knew I needed organizational help or saw my mess. Do you show or tell other people what you see?
All my clients are strictly confidential. I don't tell anyone who my clients are or anything personal about them. If a client sends a testimonial, I never put it on a website or show it without permission. With permission from clients, I sometimes use before/after pictures anonymously.
